  • Are you feeling overwhelmed as a work-at-home parent?
  • Do dishes, laundry, and other household to-dos distract you when trying to focus on a creative project?
  • Are you seeking focused time to get work done without “mom guilt” and frustration over too much screen time for your child?
  • Are you seeking engaging play for your preschooler while you engage in your project uninterrupted?
  • Would your family benefit from a supportive community of like-minded entrepreneurial moms who know your kids and your business on a personal level?
  • How does an extra set of hands sound?
  • How does a group of creative minds to collaborate with in both parenting and business development sound?
  • How would you like to explore fun, local spaces with your kids as part of your weekly routine?
  • What if all of these spaces were not only kid-friendly but also parent-friendly and provided space for you to work while they play?

creative habitat can help

At Creative Habitat, we believe in creating nurturing environments where both parents and kids creativity can flourish.  We know how important your child’s development is to you.  We also know how important your personal development is.  Often, as busy parents, it can be difficult to find the time to fuel our cars nevermind fuel our creative minds and souls.   Yet, without intentional soul care, our mindset can become one of surviving instead of thriving and how can you continue to pour into everyone else when your cup is running on empty?  You, Mama, need to be filled on a regular basis. At Creative Habitat, we provide a tangible support system and co-op community to help you and your kids thrive. We give you focused time to tap into your God-given creativity and get your work done while your kids play!

enough "mom guilt"

Enough trying to do it all on your own. Enough feeling like you are not enough.  The truth is, none of us are enough on own – but together, we can fill each other’s gaps and each other’s cups. Let us help you replace screen time with dream time and overwhelm with a sense overflow.  You fill so many cups, let us fill yours. Let us be your village!

Live in your strengths

Our signature Co-Op program is designed to provide workspace for parents, playspace for kids, and creative coworking for all.  Strengths-based development is core to our mission and values.  We help women discover and develop their strengths and creative gifts as both parents and business owners.

Stronger together

We integrate strengths-based development in our kids programming.  After completing your Co-Op application and Clifton Strengths assessment, we will connect you with a group of families who match your co-op profile including similar aged kids, geographic location, schedule, and varied strengths to leverage across the group.

Designed around you

Once you are connected with your childcare Co-Op of 3-5 families, you will rotate between 2-3 unique Creative Habitat partner spaces during your designated Co-Op hours.  Each Co-Op leader will facilitate strengths-based programming around your families specific needs and creative gifts.

What Makes Creative Habitat Different?

While most workspaces separate kids and parents, we believe both need each other to thrive.  We create spaces where Mother Nature meets Mother Nurture!  At Creative Habitat, we believe creative play is equally important for kids and their parents. It is our mission to create a nurturing environment where families can work, play, and grow in community and invest in their God-Given creativity.  This nurturing environment, or what we fondly call a Creative Habitat, is what allows everyone to leverage the groups strengths and creative gifts as a whole. Whether you are 3 or 33, we believe creative play is integral to your development as a kid, as a parent, and as a business owner.  We provide focused time and space for kids to participate in engaging play, parents to engage in creative work, and parents and kids to engage with one another in the creative process!  Each family-friendly coworking session is 2 hours. Our 10 week MAMA Mix sessions start June 11 and ends August 13, 2024. Registration for Summer 2024 opens May 1, 2024.

Testimonials

"Yes! This is what I need."

"When I first heard of Creative Habitat, I thought Yes! This is what I need. Creative Habitat has been so good for my son to continue to socialize with other kids throughout the summer and I think it will make our transition back to preschool easier. I have used this time to develop my branding strategy and launch my website for Mindersonpress.com as well as narrow down my designs for my first greeting card line. I just ordered my printing plates for my final designs and am ready to launch this Fall thanks to the time I had to develop my printmaking business during our Creative Habitat Co-Op hours this summer!”
Mindy - Founder of Minderson press

"I was able to enjoy time with my kids more this summer because I knew I had dedicated time and space to focus."

"This group has been invaluable for my son because he has been suction-cupped to me for the last year and this has helped him be more independent.  Creative Habitat has been wonderful for my daughter because it has given us both the space we need to avoid butting heads and allowed her the opportunity to take director from other adults while engaging in creative play with other kids while I get my work done. I was able to enjoy time with my kids more this summer because I knew I had dedicated time and space to focus which allowed our family more quality time afterward."

"I have greatly benefited from having daylight hours to create and read compared to trying to focus during evening hours after the kids go to bed when I am exhausted."

“I’ve learned so much from participating in Creative Habitat and greatly benefited from having daylight hours to create and read compared to trying to focus during evening hours after the kids go to bed when I am exhausted. I had the opportunity to focus on a bible study and read a book on introverts which explains why introverts like myself need quiet, focused time – which is exactly what Creative Habitat provided. My son also enjoyed visiting the different Creative Habitat locations and playing with the other kids.”
Leslie - writer

"While participing in Creative Habitat Co-Op, I had time to work on social media marketing and growing my team while my son was playing!"

“I started my Arbonne business about 2 years ago when my son was born. I am a dental hygienist by trade and had planned to go back to work full time. I had daycare all lined up, however, when it came time to go back to work, I realized I did not want to go back full-time. I wanted to find an opportunity to work for myself allowing a flexible schedule for my family. While participating in the Creative Habitat Co-Op, I had time to work on social media marketing and recruiting and training new team members while my son was playing!”
shiann - arbonne consultant

"I've had mental dump time and I've gotten things out of my brain, off of my to-do list, and DONE!"

I'm in the business of making and selling soap. While I make Sugar Grove Good soap at my house, it's really hard to sit down and concentrate on the administrative side of my business at home when I have kids running around, dishes, laundry, etc. There is always something to do or take care of in the home environment. During my Co-Op hours at Creative Habitat,I have had focused time to track sales and supplies and keep my spreadsheets up to date without distractions. Creative Habitat has been invaluable to my organization. In addition to working on Sugar Grove Goods. I've had mental dump time and I've gotten things out of my brain, off of my to-do list, and DONE!
Meg - Founder of Sugar Grove goods
